Our Florida Trip...

Well, our trip to Florida didn't bring us back with mid winter tans, however, it did bring us back refreshed and ready to care for James. We stayed in a cute little cottage, just steps from the beach and Grammy and Papa's cottage. It was nice to spend some time together. We also had a hot tub at our place, so used that most nights to relax. The kids were AWESOME on the flights. It helped that we were upgraded to 1st class on our trip there- we got spoiled! Aria curled up in her own big lounger and slept for two hours and Kai was content just staring out the window at the clouds, eating all the yummy food and playing with his cars. Although the weather didn't cooperate most days, we managed to do many activities. Some of them included; a trip to the Aqarium, Museum, beach, park, bikerides, kayaking, dinners out, a visit with cousins alex, riley and mia, fishing and best of all was our day trip to Magic Kingdom at Disney with just Kai. Aria stayed back at Grammy and Papa's and we drove to Disney. He LOVED it!!! It was such a perfect age to take him- he was in awe of everything around him. We went on ride after ride- he is such a thrill seeker. The bigger the roller coaster, the more he wanted to go on it. The ran him ragged for the day and by the time we left at 7pm, we no longer left the parking lot and he was fast asleep. We will definately be making more trips there as our kids get older. It was also my first time at Disney and I think I had just as much fun as Kai did. In the end though, he can't stop talking about how he wants to be a princess. He just about lost it when I told him I wouldn't buy him a pretty pink gown and tiarra like all the other "girls" were wearing in the park. Luke's not so happy about his newfound love. But just like everything, this too shall pass.

Luke and I were also able to get in a few dates, which was much needed. I don't think we've really talked in awhile due to the stresses of recent events, so it was good to catch up. All in all, we're glad to be home.

Ella would love to play dress up with Kai! Bring him over any time...there's a pink dress waiting for him!

And it's pretty normal that he likes the princess dresses. Jake wanted the pink Barbie jeep for the longest time. Thank goodness he's past that phase!

So jealous of your Florida trip! Even if you didn't come back with a smokin' tan, at least you could be outside and play with the kids. Its minus 4 here today, spring can't come soon enough.
