Yesterday was Kai's 1st official day of preschool at Canterbury Creek Farm School. He absolutely couldn't wait to go and talked about it non-stop. Luke dropped him off and I picked up and I have to admit when I saw him being led out of that schoolhouse holding another child's hand and his bookbag in another, I got a little teary eyed.
My baby is growing up and he doesn't need me anymore! Ok, it's a bit of an overstatement, but he's so ready for some independence. Although I'm grateful I don't have a child with attachment issues, he's quite the opposite and can't wait to get "away". We're so happy for Kai and are very glad he can attend Farm School this year. I'm confident that this experience will enhance his strong desire to learn and give him his fix on wanting an animal at home(-: Haahaa!
