Ok girls, before you get your hopes up that I caved in to the lure of the "mini-van", it's only a figure of speech(-: This weekend we moved into our new rental home that we will be living in while our new place is being built. I already love the conveniences of the home and could only best compare it to that of a mini-van. Super functional, but lacking character-haahaa! Sorry girls(-: But hey, I'm all for it right now- I need a little convenience in my life!
So did anyone think of us on Saturday while it POURED the ENTIRE day!!?? All I can say is that it was the most exhausting thing a 6 1/2 month pregnant woman could experience! Overall, the move went excellent but only because of the outstanding help we received. We hired 4 movers from Corrigan to move us. They arrived at 9am and worked NON STOP until 5pm- the poor guys were not only dripping from the down pouring rain, but sweat from all the humidity. They literally took only 1 or 2 5 minute breaks the whole day- they definately earned their money! Around 1pm, the crew of Link family members arrived to start unpacking as they were moving us in. What a blessing!! We worked all day and into the night Sat, and by Sunday evening had everything unpacked, organized and put in it's place. Unbelievable teamwork. Grammy & Papa N. graciously took the kids for us on Thursday afternoon and kept them until Sunday night! That was a tremendous help! Grammy even brought us delicious meals throughout the move. I just sit here today with so much gratitude in my heart and thankful for the wonderful family that God has given us. We truly wouldn't have been able to do this without your help. Thank you so much!
Now we can focus on just enjoying life, finishing up the design of our new home and welcoming a new baby boy. Never a dull moment at the Nieuwenhuis house(-: Thanks for your prayers.

Congrats on your move! Too bad about all the rain, but sounds like you guys got er done! Watch out about the minvan comments...explores don't have much more character than a minivan! :-)
OMG! That is my house! The first thing Mike said was "we should have put a 3rd stall on our house." I'm so curious to see it. And I have to say I'm happy with my functional house & mini-van! ;) So far 2 friends who claimed they would never own a mini-van have caved in...you may be the next!
