Becket Jude Nieuwenhuis has arrived!!!

We welcomed our little boy, Becket Jude into this world at 9:55am on Tuesday November 25th. He weighed 6lbs 11oz and was 20 inches long. I had a very easy labor and a quick, but painful delivery. The contractions were manageable until I reached 10cm and was ready to push- then of course it was too late for an epidural. Ugghhh...you think I would have remembered the pain from Kai's birth and going "au natural" (-: Thank God the delivery went fast- very fast- I think I pushed a few times lasting a total of about 5-10 minutes of excruciating pain. It was all worth it though. I'm so happy I got to experience the joy of going into labor on my own and delivering naturally-something I didnt expect as I was induced with both Kai & Aria.

Kai & Aria are just so sweet with him. They are great siblings and Kai really is at the perfect age to understand just what is taking place. I think Becket is his "pretend friend" at least for now- he talks to him and for him as he role plays with his legos and lincoln logs. We got some video clips the other night because he was just so cute talking to him. Aria is a little mommy to Becket and is practicing regularly being a "mommy" to her baby doll. She is still so young though...sometimes I feel like she has to grow up so fast. Last week she was still my baby. This week she is my toddler and it feels like she weighs a ton! (even though she is still a mere 19lbs and almost 2!)

We had so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. The overwhelming love we feel for this little one is consuming our hearts. He is absolutely perfect and we feel so blessed.
