Today was Kai's first day of Young 5's and I must admit that I was a little teary eyed about it. I'm not sure if its the fact that he's riding the bus this year that makes him seem so much more grown up or what, but I was a little sentimental. Kai on the otherhand was beaming with joy as he woke up this morning. His school doesnt start until noon, but he was wide eyed at 8am this morning asking when we were leaving for school. Aria asked about every 2 minutes "Can I come too?" and I assured her she would be there for the drop off. We took him in the school and the real smiles began. I dont even think i got a chance to say goodbye as he sped off to play with his new friends. Aria wanted to stay and started a fit when we left....I informed her she had many years to go to school. That didnt help much(-: Kai fell in love with his teacher, Mrs Gromley and says she's the best teacher ever. (His famous line)
But overall, the day was exciting, yet hectic....it seems like i've been running since I woke up today and neither Becket or Aria got a good nap, therefore whining and fussiness is what I heard all day. Ugghhh...i hope we can get into the swing of things soon. Tomorrow, Kai rides the bus (Whoohoo!) and we have a friend in the neighborhood who we will carpool with. That will make life much easier for all of us! Here's to another school year!!!
