Camping
So I'm a little behind on posting, but the end of June we had our first family camping trip to RiverRidge RV Resort in Stanwood, MI. And let me tell you, it was a TON of work for just a weekend. We filled up the explorer with everything under the sun. We looked like cousin Eddy driving down the road with our cartop carrier- all we needed was a dog hanging out the window to complete the picture. We rented a camper at the campground and made it our home for two nights. It was a nice, new, clean one with two separate bedrooms and it worked out perfectly. The kids stayed up late giggling in their bunks, Becket crashed like a champ like he always does and the weather was absolutely perfect. The campground is on the Muskegon River with an attached marina. Friends of Luke's family, The Billins, have a seasonal and keep their boat docked there. On Saturday, they took us out and we found a little spot to "beach it". (Dont mind the wine bottle, we were desparate for a "toy" to keep the kids busy and its ALL we had on the boat-ha!) They also had a little "carnival" there on Saturday and the kids had a great time going down all the blow up waterslides and playsets. Kai found it exciting to zip around the grounds on his bike as fast as he could. Aria insisted on pushing Becket in the stroller. At night, we'd go for a swim and have a campfire. We made alot of memories and came home with some worn out kids!
