| Kids Halloween Dinner |
Trick or Treat! We had a ball trick or treating this year. Grammy & Papa N came over for our annual chili dinner, passed out candy (big thank you!) and helped with the festivities. This year proved to be a ball with everyone a year older. I still can't believe it, but we made it to every.single.house in our neighborhood!! 50+ houses!! Becket walked to every single one, except for the culdesac near our house. We sent him home to warm up his freezing little paws. We had many fun trick or treating experiences this year.....Zoo goes boo where the kids walked around the zoo and got some great treats, Meijer Halloween Factory, Trunk or Treat at our church & topped it off with our neighborhood bash. Kai was a policeman, Aria was a "girl" Pirate (which she picked out completely on her own), and Little B was NEMO! He was hilarious. He is beginning to put several words together, but there is a space in between each of them. He did not want to wear the hat that came with the outfit, but it really completed the look. So, I told him that he would get lots of candy if he wore it. So he said, "Canny(aka: candy), wear hat" and he did it! After a few photos, we started off down the street. He was saying over and over " Sucker......mouth", "Sucker....mouth...in". Once he got his first sucker, he didn't put it down. Actually, he would go up to each house with a fist full of candy (because he wouldn't unload it in his bucket) and exchange his candy for a new piece @ each house. AND he still ended up with an entire bucket full! He looked so darn cute in his little Nemo costume with his lucky fin. When he walked, his tail waved from side to side. It was the cutest thing and he got lots of compliments on his costume. Kai was Mr. Independent and decided the rest of the family was too slow, and made his way to each house with his pack of friends. He too looked adorable with all his "mus-kels" as he used to call them. And Aria, she blew me away. She was on a mission to fill her bucket the fastest and she did! She was so sweet at each house, carefully only choosing one piece of candy and saying thank you. She pranced her way around the entire neighborhood carrying her bucket the entire way. She got a kick out of seeing her girlfriends all dressed up! Now, as I am sitting here reflecting on the evening, I have the biggest smile on my face. I just adore these little kids and to think that "baby sister" will be here to join us by next Halloween just gives me chills.
