As if weekend #1 wasn't busy enough, the rest of the month followed in its footsteps. Week/weekend #2, the kids had their school Christmas parties, Gingerbread making parties, you name it. I'll admit, this season has been tough having them in a public school- there is no mention of Christmas, everything is holiday, winter, seasonal, blah, blah, blah. It's really frustrating that Christmas parties or programs have gone from Christmas to Holiday to (had to laugh at this invite) "Winter party". Really!? Ok, I'll stop my rant there, but it has certainly made us work extra hard to share the sweet Christmas story with our children on a daily basis in our home. We hope to implement some more things next year (such as celebrating advent, nightly devotional and a few other things) that I'm really excited about. However, they did have a great time at their "parties" and even had a few special guests. Daddy went to be Kai's special helper for Gingerbread making and Grammy & Papa N made it for his class party. (Unfortunately Mama didn't make it to either, therefore no pictures) Aria's party was so precious. She once again sang her little heart out and is about oh, a head shorter than most of her classmates (girls and boys) I feel your pain girl.

We also managed to fit in two work Christmas parties. And can I just say that Luke works for an amazing company!? I just love their Christmas parties. They are so Christ-centered and just about every one, Rich DeVos (the co-founder) shows up and share the gospel with everyone. Yes, the down right raw gospel if you don't know Jesus, I encourage you to invite him into your hearts before you leave this room gospel. He can barely speak anymore (he's got to be in his late 80's/early 90's) but we just love him and everything he stands for. Blessed to be apart of a company that celebrates CHRISTmas! In between there, we had some birthday parties, lots of Christmas shopping, and Becket's 2 yr appt. Yes, I'm a little behind on that one. He weighed in a whopping 22 lbs! Ha! He's only 15% for height, not on the charts for weight (imagine that), and off the charts in vocabulary! I had to laugh when she asked me if I thought he knew at least 20 words. Ummmmm, how about 2020 words-heck, this kid is speaking sentences! Ok, enough bragging, he really is bright though(-: And a little stinker too.
