On March 3rd, I entered through the doors of Grand Rapids Ophthalmology in pursuit of getting rid of glasses and contacts for good! I was in and out within an hour, spent the next 4 hrs in pain, and opened my eyes for the first time to see clearly that night. The vision got even better the next morning, where I even drove myself to my follow up appt. Pretty amazing. I'm still getting used to the fact that I can see the alarm clock when I wake up in the morning or can watch tv in bed without throwing on my glasses. Lefty is still a little bit blurry, but since I had more of an astigmatism to correct in that eye, I'm told it should get better as it heals. In the meantime, I sure am enjoying being able to see without the aid of anything. Praise God!

Exciting! Can't even imagine no contacts or glasses. Will miss you guys for the next couple weeks but will be sure to call you when we're back so we can hit F21 and you can be jealous of my tan. ;)
