After many years of prayer and searching for the perfect new place to live, we have finally landed on Blackberry at Shears Crossings located in the heart of Forest Hills. Here are just a few reasons why we fell in love with this "neighborhood"! #1)First and foremost, it is loaded with kids! This was a must as we have a few social butterflies in our family. 2) A neighborhood that likes to get together-they have quarterly progressive parties, play groups and lots of fun. 3) Architechturally cool houses- all natural exteriors and really neat designs 4) Location is great- close to shopping (ie: Meijer) and a quick trip to Luke's work 5) Lots of trees and rolling hills- neighbors close enough to talk to when you walk outside, but still lined with trees and privacy 6) A neat builder, True North Homes, that will build us a "Green Built" home (Super energy efficient)7) Not too far from Lake Michigan and our summer place in Grand Haven(-:8) Bike trails nearby 9) Sidewalks! 10) A little community park with a mini spray park, gazebo and picnic benches.

So now the fun begins...we will be putting our house up for sale )-:, designing a new one and hopefully start building next spring. Although we will be sad to leave our home we have now, we have to remember that it is just a shell....the memories we have made here will forever be with us.
