This weekend myself and 4 of my girlfriends (we missed you Marci!!) headed to New Buffalo, MI to this quaint little cottage with a mini spa. We have known eachother for 8 years now- to this day it's neat how the Lord put us together. We met through the "20 somethings" class at Mars Hill- most of us didn't know a soul before we got there. They told us to get in a circle with some other random people to form our new small group- talk about pressure!- and there we sat. The leader came up to us and told us that they needed someone to join a different group because ours was too big, but noone budged! We all sat there and noone offered. So, here we are today- 8 years later and great friends. We've been through so much together- boyfriends, marriages, children, you name it. We've spent countless hours praying for eachother and many times encouraging one another. Now that we are all married and with children, instead of meeting for a bible study, we get together once a month to catch up. Every year we take an "annual trip"- usually to Chicago or Traverse City and spend a weekend (or now that kids have entered into the equation, we spend "a night" )together. This year, we were recommended this small little place called the New Buffalo Inn and Spa. We stayed at this little cottage (we nicknamed it Grandma's house), sipped on wine while we soaked in the hottub out back, went for a good dinner at the "Stray Dog", engorged ourselves on chocolate at The Southbend Chocolate Factory, sat at the spa all morning and got massages, then ended the day by lots of shopping in Michigan City (just minutes from there). Overall, it was such a relaxing weekend with some of my favorite girls(-: I can't wait until next year!!

Sounds like you had a great time! Is that the same place that Bradi has gone to before?
Yes, kudos to Brades! It was the perfect little retreat.
