My Baby Boy is turning 3!!!!

I can't believe today marks Kai's 3rd birthday. Hard to believe that 3 years ago, we met this bright little guy for the first time. I'll never forget the moment I saw him- I burst into tears and was full of unexplainable joy! Little did I know, that joy was just the beginning.

If you ask Kai how old he will be today, his answer will more than likely be " I'm 10!". And honestly, there are days that it feels like he has been around for 10 years. He is such a smart kid-always coming up with new ways to make us laugh. His sentences are so profound- speaking very clearly using a vocabulary that I don't even have! There have been mornings recently that both Luke and I have had glimpses of him as a teenager!! Yikes! He thrives on playing jokes on you and has been quite "sassy" lately. (Hmmm..wonder where he hears sass?)

Since he will enjoy many years of "parties" on his New Years Eve birthday as an adult, we chose to have his BIG BASH next weekend and have a nice little family celebration today. We are heading out to dinner with some friends tonight, so Kai will be elated to go to his friend Raegan's house for a slumber party! Next weekend, the party will be held at "Bounce Party" where he will get to "jump" til his heart is content, fill up on cake and icecream and be with ALL of the pals he has ever known! He's very excited!

Today as we celebrate, we are so thankful to call Kai our son and blessed to be chosen as his parents. We love you buddy!
