POSITIVE!!!

After 30,000 phone calls this weekend (If you ever want to know who reads your blog, just share some good gossip and you'll know!), I was excited to share with most of you in person that Kai's eery revelation was correct. Luke and I are expecting our 3rd baby by the end of this year! The edd is 12-2-08, so for those of you that know how "late" I typically go, this just means that I'll be lucky to deliver by Christmas(-: Haahaa-j/k! While we are going to have our hands full, we are thrilled to expand our family and very excited for this nice surprise. It was really neat because it was just so unexpected. Luke and I love to plan out our lives and this was certainly not planned. We had the priviledge of hearing his/her's little hearbeat last week- 166 beats/min! That is a sound that never gets old no matter how many times you hear it. To know that there is life growing inside of you is a miracle each time.

Now I need to apologize for falling off the face of the earth these past several weeks. Starting around week 5, I got severly sick. From week 5-10, I spent several days/nights on my bathroom floor vomiting with persistent and ongoing nausea. It has been horrible. I thank God for the "angel" he sent (Luke's mom) who spent most days at our home caring for the kids. There were certainly times that I couldn't have gotten through this without her. Thank you Sandy! And also for my wonderful husband(-: who took over every evening after work. Caring the weight of two toddlers alone is a handful. Not to mention a very sick wife. Now that I'm almost 11 weeks, I'm starting to feel like I'm on an upward road to feeling better. I'm still taking anti-vomit medication, but the nausea is letting up for small periods throughout the day, which I am so grateful for. This weekend Luke traveled to CO for a friends wedding with a few of his close guy friends and my parent's lovingly came and spent the entire weekend at our home cooking, cleaning and caring for the kids. My mom gave me the best Mother's Day gift- she woke up at 6am(yes, that's the latest phase w/ Aria!) and took care of her while I slept in. Thanks Mom!!

So there you have it- our journey for that past several weeks and the exciting news of what is yet to come. We are so thankful to God for giving us this "gift" and are praying for a healthy baby boy or girl!

Congratulations! Luke told me the news this past weekend, and he seemed like a pretty proud daddy. What a blessing. I hope that you feel better soon, though -- that feeling of constant nausea and vomiting is pretty rough! Tell Luke it was great to see him after all these years.

A little late, but none the less, congratulations! (so sorry, as I have been busy baking in the sun... yes, had to rub it in)
However, I am not sure if I am ready to jump on the crazy train with you yet for #3. Hope you are feeling better.
