True Revelation?

As most of you know, our son Kai is famous for his "revelations". My sister even calls him the "I see dead people boy" (awwhh) Sometimes his revelations get us thinking and others we brush under the rug as another funny story he has come up with. This particular morning's revelation got me thinking.


It was 8:00am and I was going about my normal morning routine- unloading the dishwasher as the kids ate their breakfast. It was quite silent that morning. Out of the blue, Kai bursts with energy and says "Mommy! You have a little baby in your tummy!" Taken off guard, I chuckled as I was wearing my big night tshirt and looked like a lard. I said, "reallly?!" With a huge smile he says "YES! You have a little baby in there!" I played along...."so is it a boy or a girl?" He says "It's a baby girl, just like Aria!" "But I really want a brother" Oh, the things kids say.


So when Luke got home from work, I was sharing with him the "funny story of the day". He laughed and said "I don't know where that kid comes up with stuff?" True, he has never once mentioned a baby in anyones tummy- not even when I was pregnant with Aria.


Later that night, I was on the phone with a girlfriend. I was laughing hysterically that he thought I had a baby in my tummy. She said, "Well, do you??" "GOSH NO!" I quickly replied. I got off the phone with her and got to thinking.....hmmmmm...why would he say that? He was just so sure of himself. Was God trying to tell me something? I quickly ran upstairs and grabbed a pregnancy test. I don't know why- I hadn't thought a thing of it all day, but for some reason I needed to rule him out. I took the test and it came back.......


Was Kai's revelation true? I'll let you be the judge....
