Well, Kai & Aria are officially beat after a long week of festivities and trick or treating. On Thursday, Kai had his school Halloween party where they had a parade of costumes, scavenger hunt and a party in the barn. They even learned songs and performed for us. Well, most of the kids anyways...of course Kai only sang the spooky walk song and totally got into that one(he likes the wierd songs. Thursday evening, my brother James and Lisa took them trick or treating at the Cornerstone dorms. Kai was pretty pumped to trick or treat at "mommy's old college" and both of them had a ball and brought back tons of candy. The best part was that Luke and I had an evening to ourselves and went and had a great dinner at BlueWater Grill.
Friday, we started all over, got the kids dressed up again and went back to our old neighborhood for an evening of fun. It really made me miss everyone and our house! I'm sure I would have felt different if we weren't going through what we are. Kai and Aria walked right in as the new owners opened the door- it was very cute. We got a tour and the kids thought it was pretty neat to see their old house. Kai couldn't understand why someone was parked in our garage!(-:
Aria certainly got into Halloween this year. She HAD to carry her own pumpkin and got good at saying "Tick a teet" and "Da-doo". She couldnt wait to dig into the candy. Kai just ran around with the kids and enjoyed seeing all of his old friends. It took us FOREVER to trick or treat though...they were stopping and playing at everyones house. We finally bagged it and ended up at a neighbors place where the kids played. They were out the second they hit the pillow. Oh, these days are fun. They are growing up way too fast. And to think we'll add another little pumpkin to the mix of trick or treating next year. Oh boy.
